Thank You for Participating in Orange Ruler!

Thank you so much for participating in Orange Ruler, our most successful fundraiser!  Don't forget -- Turn In day is May 17th!

We are in need of volunteers, please click HERE to sign up.  Help is needed for tomorrow 8:30-11am as well as 5/20 for the Pig Race and 5/26 for the Kona Ice party.

All of the funds raised go right back into supporting Academic Enrichment programs related to Art, Science, Theater; Social activities that include student favorites such as Bingo, Multi-Cultural Night and Popcorn Fridays, and of course the PTA's founding mission of Advocacy & Community Connections.

We would love to beat our school and class goals and be even more successful than we were last year! Remember every class that meets the goal gets a Kona Ice party so participation does matter!!!

Thank you for your continued support!

Math at Home (MAH) & Reading at Home (RAH)

Students can start earning free books and math prizes by logging their minutes on apollopta.org. See program instructions and details HERE.

New this year...students do not need to be logged into their parent's account to input minutes (as long as their parents have set up their account) and/or students can keep a paper calendar and parents can input the *total sum* of minutes just once each month!

Do your kids love Popcorn Friday?

Upcoming Volunteers Opportunities!

This is a reminder that if you're planning to help out in the classroom or with any of the fun PTA activities this year, there's a new registration process for the entire Issaquah School District. All volunteers must complete an online application and background check

Shop on Amazon?  Use Amazon Smile and benefit our children!
If you shop at Amazon, please visit smile.amazon.com, or click on the button in the left tool bar.  Make sure you add Apollo Elementary PTA (city listed is Tacoma) as your charity of choice.  Then, 0.5% of every qualifying Amazon purchase will be donated to our PTA, to benefit programs for our children!  Let’s take advantage of this easy way to raise money.

Does your company offer a corporate match program for nonprofit organizations?

Matching gifts are typically overlooked.   In 2012, The Chronicle of Philanthropy released a report entitled "How America's Biggest Companies Give." Two of the top 5 matching companies are right here in our community: Boeing and Microsoft. In fact, 65% of Microsoft employees request matching company contributions from their employer. Does your company have a matching gift program? If so, now is a great time to submit your Apollo PTA donations for matching.

Did you know that many employers will match your time, too? Apollo PTA has received over $7500 in contributions from our school family documenting and submitting their volunteer hours to their employer for matching this school year alone! What a great way to give back to our school AND have your employer support your child’s school.
